Washington State Department of Health - “Kids As Spokespeople”

This statewide documentary production interviewed real kids and pediatricians about their experiences with the vaccine in an effort to raise awareness about the availability and safety of the COVID-19 vaccines for children. I primarily helped handle the extensive audition and talent preparation process with doctors and 20+ kids ages 4-12, ensuring each participant and their families felt comfortable, at ease, and safe before, during and after production. Filmed in Seattle and Spokane, WA.

Each year, the Marguerite Casey Foundation awards a select group of leaders in social justice with $250,000 in unrestricted funds. I led the coordination with film crews and high-profile scholars to reimagine a safe and effective remote filming style in the midst of a pandemic. Filmed in six different locations across the country, these profiles elevated the scholar’s work and were used to announce their recognition to the world.

I self-produced this video for an Advanced Video Production class in pursuit of a Master’s in Storytelling at the University of Washington. This documentary-style production explores the owner’s perspective to tell a story about how creativity, failure, and clay go hand-in-hand. Filmed at Of the Earth Collective in Seattle, WA.

This production highlighted the core members of the Project Baldwin program, which provides mentorship to men of color at North, Central, and South Seattle Colleges. I led the production, scripting, and storyline development for this video. Filmed in Seattle College’s Photo Studio.
